Photo a Day

How many have seen the challenges to take a photo a day? Search some of the scrapbook galleries and you’ll find awesome displays of the photos taken and journaling to explain the photos. What a wonderful way to document and preserve memories!

Taleweaver software comes with templates that you can use to add your photos, or you can create your own! Now you can even place a photo with part of it on each page (and it will print correctly). The new version has so many great features – download it and enjoy!

This is a simple page, but it has some highlights of the past week. Some days I take dozens of photos, then there are days I miss completely. But I do stress journaling — tell enough about the photos that future generations will wish they’d been there! Have fun.

County Fair

This was my granddaughter’s first fair and concert! She didn’t think much of the midway, but really enjoyed Lady Antebellum. Then the rains came – WOW! But I got some good photos for my Summer 2010 album. I created a template of my own in Taleweaver to drop my photos into, then bordered them with a fine line and drop shadows. The clip art came with the software, too. Click on the Taleweaver link and download your own copy — prepare to have fun preserving memories!

Birthday Fun

My granddaughter was six yesterday; her party was today and I was on hand for photos of the event! For this two-page spread, I used one of my photos as the background and used Taleweaver shapes to set off the added party photos. I will still add some text and a title — the software makes it so simple to pull your photos into wonderful pages!

Christmas in July

The plants are out of the greenhouse at work; we filled it with Christmas merchandise and had a progressive Christmas in July sale, so I took some photos to document the event. Using Taleweaver to create a page to preserve the memory, I used a template, line edges and clip art provided with the software. I even found its feature for creating drop shadows!  My facing page is plain and will tell about having a sale in a greenhouse in the heat we’ve had!

Freedom Fest

Our stars & stripes celebrations are today through Monday (4th), we went to a parade and I enjoyed using a background, some borders and elements provided within Taleweaver to create this two-page spread! I also enjoyed placing a photo and elements over the middle (knowing that it will turn out right when printed). This book will be of fun events this summer (2011) and is a work in progress.
