Hello, My name is Kelli Thibeau and I will be a new blogger here at mypictales.com. I would like to thank Wendy for inviting me to be part of The MyPicTales Blog, I am such a HUGE fan of the site. I am an avid Scrapbooker both traditional and digital, who dabbles in cards! I am from Ontario, Canada, I work as a Real Estate Administrator and I run a small business with a friend that consists of running a local scrapbooking club & hosting 3 day retreats 3 times per year. My family & I love to Camp (the comfy way in a big travel trailer), Cottage and 4-wheel. This is what my scrapbooking centers around. Thanks for stopping by, I hope you like what you see. Please leave me a comment and let me know! Again Wendy, Thank You for having me.
This first layout I would like to share with you shows my children and two of their friends enjoying a beautiful hot PA Day (here in Canada the teachers have Professional Activity Days which consist of courses and such, the kids get a day off) at my brothers pool. It was unusually hot for the beginning of June so we packed a picnic and spent the day at the pool.
Oh the holidays are upon us, Halloween around the corner, Thanksgiving, and then Christmas!! So many traditions that are passed on from generation to generations! I was thinking how fun a book of passed down recipes, prayers or traditions would be to receive! I was spurred into this inspiration from this fabulous page:
DaivaScraps and her fantastic tradition of passing the Kimono!
I mean that is one fun tradition. In our house, we feed the reindeer “magic” oatmeal. It is actually glitter and oatmeal, but more magic with sparklies! What kind of traditions do you have that have been passed down? Might be a fun page or more to fill a book.

I saw this page today, and thought how fun to follow and do a book full of items made, be it a cake, a card or a beautiful quilt like this one:
First Quilt by Oaklanefarm
Can you imagine how fun it would be to have a book full of your creations?
My kids are older now and all of them love to read. One of their favorite things to grab and read and reread are the photo books I have made. They have the journaling memorized (even my misspelled words). Photo books really are timeless. Your family will love them.
I saw this layout and thought, these kids will take the love of reading from their parents, and the results of that will be phenomenal. Fantastic page by cylynn; Read to Me.
