As I sit in my back porch this morning, having my coffee and thinking of what I have to do to get ready for work, I can actually hear birds chirping. This has to be a sign of spring! The snow is gone – well for now. I live so far up north that snow is a real possibility for another month. But this year the snow left early, my maple tree is starting to bud out and thoughts turn to outdoor chores.
I found this delightful kit by one of MyPicTales featured designers. The colors remind me of spring and Easter. It was created by JennCK – you can get it here.
Until next week,
Has life been moving extraordinarily quick for you? I thought it was quick, until I ran across some funny number layouts. Apparently the DigiDares has a really fun dare going on this time. With numbers and monochromatic themes and journalling! I saw two that hit me about time moving so fast:
first is Sandy_in_MD I actually gasped when I saw this…as the passing of time is so captured in this layout!
then Fifi made me laugh, and if you know me, laughter is my favorite thing scrapped! Her layout 42, A Simpler Time; Her journalling is fantastic, please click on it, read it and smile!
Time passes so quickly, I hope these layouts help stir you to do things that will matter and last. How wonderful memories are especially captured on a page or in a book to pass to family.
Many snowbirds are “on the road” this weekend — we’re among them; 650 miles closer to home than yesterday! Wireless Internet at motels is great, I’ve taken some great photos along the way. One of these days I need to create a photo book of memories from these trips.
I’ll edit this post tonight to add an adorable page pick and a link to the kit she used.
I have another confession to make. I’m not a super organized person (and this drives my DH absolutely nuts.) I try hard. Everyone gets where they need to go with generally everything that they need. (Except my son this week when I was making lunches for the two of us in a hurry and accidently switched our sandwiches. I ended up with PB & J and he had ham and cheese.) When I was out and about in digi world this week, I came upon Mari Koegelenberg’s Studio 365 at www.TheDigiChick. In addition to some amazingly cool kits, she also has some planner pages that can be printed out. To my delight, my love of scrapping can help me get organized! My pick of the day is her Studio 365 All in One Planners.
This set is comprised of Weekly Planners, Page Planners, Monthly Planners and My Creative Designer Planners. Jeepers, I could be amazingly organized. The nice part about this is that each set is also available individually so you could customize your planners to fit your needs. The calendar sections would be perfect for you to upload to www.MyPicTales.com and print out. I’m planning on making a planner for myself and possibly a few for gifts as well.
The layout that I’ve chosen is entitled “Determined” and is by HeideC at www.scrapable.com
This layout is so precious. Anyone who has children in their life and has watched them play sports, can relate to this layout. It is also a beautiful layout with the blended background. Go leave her some love at the Scrapable gallery.
And until next week, What Stories are You Going To Tell?
Wow, last week really flew by fast. I had the week off for spring break and thought I’d get a ton of stuff done. Unfortunately, I was able to accomplish about half of what I wanted to do. I think the fact that the whole family was home made it harder to stay on task. Oh well….back to work. That means students and passes and books. I do love it 🙂
As I was looking for a layout this week, I came across a beautiful page done by a grandmother at Rakscraps. It touched my heart. The journaling was sincere and the photo was precious. It’s by GrannyNKy– so be sure to jump over the RAkscraps and leave her some luv.
Layout of the Day
